We moved hundreds of massive cargo pieces, including Africa's largest rotor body and a 163-ton rotor valve. Our innovative solution involved a #multimodal approach, utilizing road and rail, with careful consideration for road constraints and rail overhang. To protect the delicate rotor body, friction mats were employed during both transport modes, enhancing efficiency. Securing permits for 54 seven-and-a-half-meter-wide loads, some weighing 163 tons, required collaborative efforts with road authorities, showcasing our commitment to delivering exceptional solutions with full technical support for our customers.

Mount Kilimanjaro is the world’s tallest free standing mountain and the highest mountain in Africa, making it one of the Seven Summits. Kilimanjaro's peak, named Uhuru Point, is 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. Climbing Kilimanjaro is unique for many reasons. From the trailhead to the summit, climbers find themselves weaving through several distinct climate zones, starting in the rain forest and ending in the arctic zone. It is said that the journey from the gate to the peak is like traveling from the equator to Antarctica in a matter of days. Ultimate Kilimanjaro® specializes in guiding climbers on the Lemosho route. Descent is made via the Mweka route. Kilimanjaro is very popular with both experienced hikers and first time adventurers. Scaling the mountain requires no technical skills or equipment, such as rope, harness, crampons or ice axe. Therefore, it is a hiking or “walk up” peak, not a mountaineering or climbing peak. Held on Mt. Kilimanjaro and reaching a height of 5,895m, this is probably the hardest Marathon on the planet!

Interested cyclists occasionally ask us if the K2N course has any technical single track riding (short answer: it absolutely does). But we understand the question makes sense -- and for a couple of reasons: 1. It's difficult to access a lot of the most technical parts of K2N, and with racers moving quickly through each stage (some pros finishing in 3 hours), shifting media around has proven a real challenge for us. Plus the team's got to be in excellent shape to get in and out of areas not accessible by vehicles. So we've not highlighted the technical side of K2N as much as we should have in the past. 2. It seems to us a trend these days to make MTB stage races "better", or perhaps more challenging (?), by merely making them longer.  Adding extra kilometers of dirt / gravel roads is an easy way to get that done. This isn't our style. We've worked extremely hard to build a course that's the perfect blend of MTB terrain (and we think we've been super successful in that). So we are super excited about this year's post-race wrap-up video. We feel it represents the K2N course as a whole better than any other media we've put out.
